I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Brad Davison at Templar Tactical Arms in Bozeman Montana on some photos. TTA makes some amazing AR15 rifles. They are machined out of 7075 T6 billet stock unlike most other makers that use forged castings. What does machined mean? It means that TTA will be able to make receivers that have details that are not available in forging. Be it mag-well details or stippling.
Either way enjoy the pictures.

This video is for The Neptune Theater in Seattle. Produced by Block My Eye Films. It was a really fun couple of days in an amazingly wonderful remodeled theater. Thanks to Ryan Adams for the opportunity too.

I tend to post a lot of live photos so I thought since I am reaching back in to the archives I may throw up some portraits. These were done as PR shots and were a blast to do. Having some nice summer evening light doesn’t hurt in a few of them either. Plus, a little Fujichrome goes a long way too. One thing that is great about portraits for musicians is they rarely are boring.

A couple years ago I had the chance to shoot Rodrigo y Gabriela at Marymoor park. Prior to shooting them I had never heard their music or knew their story. An acoustic guitar duo that can just flat out rock is rare. After seeing them I will say that I’m sold as a fan. They have an intensity in their eyes that is amazing and their hands flew over their guitars appearing to hardly move yet enormous sounds come out.
After hearing a story about their new album Area 52 on NPR I had to go back to the archives and share some photos. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to shoot them again.
