The other night I was shooting some video for Watch It Sparkle’s show at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle. While shooting that I thought I would take a few pictures of Justin while he performed. Here is what happened.

Once again if you haven’t had the chance to see these guys try to check them out. They play around town enough where you should be able to see them with out to much planning. Here is a pervious photo set I did of Justin.

The Portland band Themes were in Seattle.  Their etherial airy sound is surprisingly full.  Unfortunately due to their ambiguous name they can be somewhat hard to track down.  You can follow them @themesmusic on Twitter and I look forward to seeing them again on their next trip to Seattle.

Once again the wonderful singer/songwriter Darren Hanlon was back in Seattle.  This time playing the Tractor Tavern.

As a highlight he was accompanied by Rose Melberg in the singing of All These Things off of Darren’s most recent album I Will Love You At All.  Over the last couple years Darren has toured the US from time to time and now that he is on Yep Roc records hopefully he will be back this way again soon.

If you ever have the chance to catch him be sure to do it.  A schmaltzy singer/songwriter is easy to find and impossible to enjoy.  Darren Hanlon is NOT that singer/songwriter.  His music has all the right hooks in all the right places.  And, his word play adds layers to an already great tune.
